How to Create More Efficient Reports

February 1, 2016 Andrea Ricci

Imagine for a moment that you’re working the front lines of a hospital, and that the care and safety of your organization’s patients rest on you. No matter the size, one thing is certain, you’re busy! So, what can we do to help? After all, a minute saved is an additional minute that can be spent with a patient.

Did you know you can run a report across most RL6 modules to get a better idea of how employees are using the system, and uncover whether your forms are too lengthy or if you have too many mandatory fields on your forms?

Here’s how you do it:

Run a report on the Input Time Span parameter, this field will calculate how many seconds it takes for users to submit files.

Types of reports you can run:

  1. Comparing time spent entering files between different General Event Types.
  2. Comparing time spent entering files based on Department
  3. Options to apply aggregation to get more comprehensive data, for example, grouping the data into 10 minute intervals.
Keep in mind that these reports are very customizable within your own system. Feel free to substitute grouping fields, titles, conditions, date ranges etc., depending on your organizational needs.
