The Voice of the Patient

September 25, 2017

Patients have a unique perspective on healthcare. Including their perspectives and voices can bring much-needed insight into healthcare practices, and with a little structure, can mean that healthcare organizations shift from making decisions for patients to making decisions with them.

In this webinar, Adrineh Poulatian, Director of Patient Experience at Palo Alto Medical Foundation (PAMF), and Geri Horsma, Patient Advisor, will share PAMF’s journey to developing a Patient Advisor Council and the benefits of bringing in the patient perspective early and often.

Key learnings will include:

  • Strategies to include the voice of the patient in improvement work, committees and other endeavors that impact patients.
  • How to develop Patient and Family Advisory Councils to help engage patients in work that affects patients.
