Case Study: Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital and Deborah Heart and Lung Center

Small hospitals get big results

Deborah Heart and Lung Center is a New Jersey based, 89-bed specialty hospital that offers leading edge techniques for diagnosing and treating cardiac, vascular and pulmonary diseases in adults, and heart defects in adults and children.

Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital is one of the last independent hospitals in Minnesota, a 60-bed, non-profit clinic and hospital that employs over 600 people and is home to over 60 physicians and other providers.

When it comes to managing patient safety, it doesn't matter how big an organization is: it's always a priority. Unfortunately, making the case to purchase risk management software is much harder at a smaller hospital—something the busy quality departments at Grand Itasca and Deborah know too well.

They were both in the market for patient safety software but struggled to find something to fit their budget. Both hospitals settled on RL6 from RLDatix due to its out-of-the-box option specifically for smaller hospitals. Although RL6 is configurable—users can change fields, build their own reports and set alerts—RLDatix' standardized implementation and workflow helps smaller hospitals get up and running quickly with minimal training.
